My name is Erin Richerson and I live in Woodland California.  I have been married for 20 years and have four children.  I attend First Baptist Church in Davis and am a vocalist on the Worship Team.  I am also a member and secretary of the School Board at Woodland Christian School where our children attend.  We love our school!  Our family served as missionaries for about ten years in Kenya, and it was there where I discovered my passion for counseling children and teenagers.  I have a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling from Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary.  I am completing my certification for Child and Adolescent Treatment Program at UC Berkeley extension.

I have over fifteen years of experience working with children and teens and their families.  Since graduating from UC Davis with a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies, I have worked as a teacher and then counselor in both Kenya, East Africa and the United States. For the past five years, I partnered with Woodland Christian School by offering individual counseling for families and providing resources for teachers.  I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and associated with the Child Safety and Protection Network.  I continue to be a counseling resource for Africa Inland Mission when families return from the mission field.  My areas of special interest include:

1.  Third Culture/Missionary Kids

2. Evidence Based Treatment (EBT)

3.  Cognitive Behavior Therapy

4.  Children and Adolescent Treatment

5.  Neurodevelopmental Disorders

6.  Applied Behavior Analysis

7.  Marriage Counseling
